Deanna Gisborne

Client Care Coordinator

Deanna is currently completing a Master’s degree in the Health Administration (Community Care) program at Toronto Metropolitan University. She also has a BFA from York University where she studied psychology and visual art, and a Health Records Clerk certificate from George Brown College. Additionally, Deanna has earned a certificate in Mental Health First Aid from the Mental Health Commission of Canada, a certificate in Harm Reduction in Substance Use from Relias Academy, and she has completed ASIST: Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training.

Deanna has been an administrator in the healthcare field for many years, coming to us from Women’s College Hospital where she did administrative and clerical work, then transitioned to a position as a COVID Screener for two years during the covid pandemic. Previous to this, she wrote for The Trauma and Mental Health Report online magazine and led a team of peer mentors in the Undergraduate Psychology Student Association at York University. Through her positions Deanna has developed a great appreciation for teens and youth, and the potential that they hold to grow, flourish, and create a better world.

Deanna’s central goal is to use her knowledge and experience to provide quality care, empathy, and resources to others. She is incredibly grateful to be able to provide support for the teens, adults, and families here, and inspired by the strength and vulnerability present in the work being done.

Having a rich artistic background, Deanna loves to continue her painting practice in her free time. She is also an avid reader, cat aficionado, and is learning French. She hopes to make your experience here a warm and welcoming one!
