Teen Therapy & Counselling FAQS

What does RP (qualifying mean?)

The College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario requires its members to have a period of "Qualifying" after they are done their training. It means that they have to write an exam and get some more supervision hours. Those that have their RP (Qualifying) are completely done their official training and insurance companies do/should cover therapy with them if your plan covers Psychotherapists. If a concern comes up with your insurance, we can issue a receipt that has both their info and their supervisor's info on it.

What are you doing to prevent the spread of COVID-19?

We are taking the safety of clients and staff at the Toronto Counselling Centre for Teens seriously. We ask all who come do the same, and to take measures to protect those around them, and themselves. You can find a list of the measures we are taking on our COVID-19 Safety Measures page. Online and telephone counselling sessions are still available to those who are comfortable with this option. If you have questions about our COVID-19 safety measures, please do not hesitate to contact us.
