The Power of Being Me

When I am me
I am mighty, I am determined
I am real, I am no longer uncertain
Of who I am, of who I will be
Of the authenticity within me
I am genuine, I am real
With no filter I have the capability to feel
Different emotions, what I say, my true reflections of the day
When I am me I am no longer burdened or feel stuck
Stuck in a place I should not be
With all the wrong emotions surrounding me
I am true, I am compassionate
I am a girl who doesn’t lose track of it
Of her goals, of who she is
Of all that she wants
But once hid within.
