This is a collection of referrals we’ve accumulated from our community.
Please note that some of these referrals were through word of mouth so we cannot guarentee the results.
If you are in an active emergency, feeling suicidal or if you suspect that a family member is attempting suicide please call 911 or take them to your local hospital. Sometimes you might not know when to make that call but the dispatchers, paramedics and hospital staff will help make that assessment. To demystify the process, here’s some information. Depending on case, the patient would most likely receive in-patient care where they will have access to psychiatric support as well as resources for their outpatient care.
* They have two government funded programs (with a long waitlist). They are Family Connection (6 to 8 weeks) and Multi-Systeimc Therapy (4 to 6 months).
Our lovely therapists Amy Del Monte, Patricia Tuff, Katherine Lough and Arllene Williams may be able to help. However, if they’re closed and unable to take on clients, here’s the list below. These resources can also include Play Therapy.
During this time, we emphasize that your child seeks counselling through the school’s social worker or through us!
If your child is going through sever cases of bullying that isn’t being dealt with properly, we advise that you escalate the matter to proper authorities. Call your principal, superintendent, school board trustees and consider moving to legal matters. This may be a matter of a human rights complaint and can warrant legal ramifications. If you feel that it’s right for you and your family, approach the media to gather support from the public.
Overall, if your child is in danger, we encourage you to transfer them to a different school.
The majority of our therapists can help support your child with ADHD. Some of these therapists are Laura Gongora, Katherine Lough, Samantha Woolven and more!
The gold standard treatment for OCD is ERP (exposure and response-prevention). Below are a list of clinics that practice ERP.

* Please keep in mind that we haven’t directly worked with this clinic. Our director had visited them when they opened and would be appreciative if you let us know your experience if you proceed.
Please note that most psychiatrists are OHIP covered through your local hospital.
We also provide low-fee therapy that is covered with insurance. If you require financial flexibility regarding our student therapists, call us at 416-565-4504.
You can also consult your family doctor as they sometimes have referrals. Please note that OHIP covered therapy tends to have long wait lists.

Bjorn Kwok is a wonderful male therapist here who has plenty of experience. However, we understand that he can get full quickly so here’s some other resources as well.
These counsellors also provide sexual health education if your teenage boy is struggling.
