Ruth Yacob
Ruth is a Client Care Coordinator and a current Psychology student at York University. With a growing interest in mental health, they are passionate about creating welcoming, supportive spaces where individuals and families feel heard, valued, and cared for.
Community has always been an important part of Ruth’s life. Through volunteering with a local faith-based organization that supports children and youth, they’ve seen firsthand how connection, compassion, and consistency can positively shape lives. They believe that strong communities — where people show up for one another — are essential to mental and emotional well-being.
Ruth is excited to pursue a future career in mental health, and continues to explore the field both academically and personally.
Outside of work and school, Ruth enjoys spending time in the kitchen — cooking is one of their favourite creative outlets. Whether preparing a meal for loved ones or trying out new recipes, it’s one of the many ways they show care for others. They are grateful to be part of a team that values empathy, authenticity, and the power of connection.
