Erin O’Rourke
Erin O’Rourke is a Registered Psychotherapist and Ontario Certified Teacher who brings nearly 20 years of experience in education and almost a decade of counselling experience to her work with youth and families. She has extensive experience supporting young people across school, hospital, and community-based settings. Erin's therapeutic work is grounded in a deep understanding of adolescent brain development and the complex social and family systems that shape teen's lives in today's world.
Erin’s approach to therapy is warm, relational, and practical. She believes that all teens and young adults want to find success, they may just need help removing the barriers that stand in the way of that success. Erin provides a safe space to land, where clients can unpack the challenges they are facing, and then work toward both healing and skill-building.
Erin's current work as a Special Education Teacher with the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) involves supporting students who are at risk of leaving school due to diverse learning, behavioural, and mental health needs. She collaborates closely with families, administrators, and interdisciplinary teams. Within the context of the counselling centre, Erin provides both therapeutic and consultative support to teens and families facing these challenges.
In her spare time, Erin enjoys wrangling her wild one-year-old!
Erin sees individual teens, parents and families.
