Bianca Arenas Rodriguez

Bianca is a student therapist currently completing her Master of Education in Counselling Psychology at the University of Ottawa. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Toronto.

Bianca believes that therapy should be a space where teens feel truly heard, understood, and comfortable being themselves without fear of judgment. She wants young people to know that they do not have to face difficult things on their own, and that they have someone they can turn to when they need support. Bianca takes a warm, collaborative, and strengths-based approach, helping teens navigate the challenges they are facing while recognizing the strengths they already have within themselves.

Bianca has supported young people and their families through her work with Kids Help Phone and Emily's House. She also brings experience working with youth and caregivers from her clinical research at The Hospital for Sick Children. Through these roles, Bianca has developed a strong passion for building genuine connections with young people and meeting each client where they are with empathy, curiosity, and compassion.

When she is not at the clinic or school, you can find her digging through crates at her local record store, breaking a sweat at the gym, or catching the Blue Jays game on TV or at the SkyDome.

Bianca sees individual teens & children as well as families.

Bianca practices both at our Danforth & Chester locations.

Please note that Bianca will be with us until April. If you get to that point when Bianca is done and you want to continue with therapy, don’t stress. We’ll have another student ready for you at that time and you’ll be able to continue on with low fee counselling. Most of our clients are feeling comfortable with their new student therapist within one or two sessions.
