Cheyenne Lance
Cheyenne has over seven years of experience supporting children, youth, and families. She joins us from a children’s mental health agency in the Toronto area, where she works closely with young people navigating learning disabilities and mental health challenges. Cheyenne meets every teen and youth with empathy, curiosity, and respect while working collaboratively to identify healthy pathways toward their goals. She is continually inspired by the resilience and strengths of the young people she supports, and she strives to centre these qualities in her practice.
Grounded in a strengths-based approach, Cheyenne offers a compassionate and safe space for youth to explore difficult emotions and experiences. She listens without judgment and ensures each young person feels seen, heard, and valued. Her therapeutic work is guided by trauma-informed, relational, and anti-oppressive approaches.
Cheyenne integrates a variety of modalities into her practice, including Narrative Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Mindfulness, and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT). She has experience working with a variety of topics, including anxiety, depression, self-harm, emotional regulation skills, learning disabilities, and avoidance. She aims to empower individuals to embrace their authentic selves and build nurturing, positive relationships with both themselves and others.
Outside of her clinical work, Cheyenne enjoys attending her favourite yoga classes, discovering unique finds while thrifting, and spending time with her rescue cat, Jade. She deeply values self-care and intentionally makes space for activities that support her own well-being.
Cheyenne works with individual children and teens, as well as families.
