Maryam Kousar
Maryam holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Toronto Metropolitan University, where she took part in a Clinical Psychology seminar during her final year of study. She is currently volunteering with Kids Help Phone and Girl Guides of Canada, and is passionate about being a positive, supportive presence in the lives of others. Especially for youth navigating life’s challenges.
Maryam brings several years of experience in customer service and administrative roles, and continues to expand her knowledge both inside and outside of the classroom. She regularly engages with mental health research, podcasts, and books, and is deeply committed to lifelong learning in the field. With a growing passion to pursue psychotherapy, Maryam understands the transformative power of creating safe, welcoming, and affirming spaces where people feel seen and supported. In a world that often feels fast-paced and filled with expectations, she believes that spaces that honour authenticity and vulnerability can make all the difference.
Outside of work, Maryam enjoys quiet long walks, spending quality time with family and friends, reading, and expressing her creativity through journaling, and is grateful for the opportunity to support the individuals and families in this community.
